This cozy family-run ryokan boasts a history of over 400 years, and has had the honor of many famous guests such as form Prime Minister Takeo Fukuda and TV personality Rokusuke Ei. The main building was built over 400 years ago and was erected using traditional Japanese methods that don’t require the use of nails.

Your visit wouldn’t be complete without trying the delicious Inobuta Nabe (hot pot). With “Inobuta” pork, a broth of Jukkoku Miso, and fresh local vegetables, this nabe is full of Uenomura specialties that are truly to die for. Guests may make reservations for a room or come just for a meal, but both require a reservation!
